Celebrating 75 Years of Educational Excellence

In 1931, Dr. Herman DeVry established a small school in Chicago to prepare students for technical work in electronics, motion pictures, radio and then television. More than 75 years later, DeVry is working diligently to gain and maintain its leadership role in North America's post-secondary education arena – along the way bettering the lives of hundreds of thousands of students who trusted DeVry to deliver on its promise of educational excellence. DeVry University provides rigorous, career-oriented undergraduate and graduate degree programs in technology, business and management. Students access these programs through a North American system of more than 80 locations as well as through DeVry University Online, all of which meet the needs of a diverse and geographically dispersed student population of over 57,000 (Fall 2007).

DeVry University's undergraduate programs have offered generations of students the opportunity to embark on careers in technological fields. DeVry provides degree programs in accounting technology, biomedical engineering technology, business administration, computer engineering technology, computer information systems, electronics and computer technology, electronics engineering technology, game and simulation programming, health information technology, network systems administration, technical management, and network and communications management.

Over the years, DeVry has developed an outstanding record of assisting its undergraduate students in launching their careers. For the 10-year period ending February 2007, more than 90 percent of DeVry graduates system-wide who actively pursued employment or who were already employed when they graduated, held positions in their chosen fields within six months of graduation.

DeVry University's Keller Graduate School of Management (KGSM) is one of the largest part-time graduate schools in the U.S. more than 12,000 of the university's 57,000 students are enrolled annually in the school's practitioner-oriented business and management master's degree programs and graduate certificates. Graduate students benefit from KGSM's emphasis on excellence in teaching and service to working adults, and all of its programs are offered onsite and online. KGSM offers master's degree programs in business administration, accounting and financial management, human resource management, information systems management, public administration, project management, and network and communications management. The programs are taught by faculty who are recruited from the business community and who teach students practical business methods.

DeVry University is accredited by The Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association.

Ross University

Founded in 1978, Ross University is one of the largest medical and veterinary schools in the world, and is one of the largest suppliers of new physicians to the United States. Focused exclusively on professional medical and veterinary education, the university awards both doctor of medicine (M.D.) and doctor of veterinary medicine (D.V.M.) degrees. Students complete their basic science curriculum at the medical and veterinary school campuses in the Caribbean countries of Dominica and St. Kitts/Nevis respectively, and they complete their clinical rotations in U.S. teaching hospitals and veterinary schools throughout the United States. The school's administrative offices are in Edison, N.J.

Chamberlain College of Nursing

Chamberlain College of Nursing (previously known as Deaconess College of Nursing) is a national nursing college that prepares compassionate and clinically proficient nurses through a curriculum that includes both a broad educational foundation and an extensive clinical practice component.

Chamberlain offers associate degree (ASN/ADN and LPN/ASN) and Bachelor of Science degree (BSN) nursing programs at its St, Louis, MO and Columbus campuses as well as an ASN degree online. Additionally, Chamberlain offers a "Fast Track" online Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree completion program that provides registered nurses across the country the opportunity to advance their careers by earning a BSN degree in as few as 12 months.

The "Chamberlain" name derives from the Middle English word chaumberlein, which means "chief steward" and exemplifies the nurse as the chief steward of patient care.

Chamberlain College of Nursing's degree programs are accredited by the National League for Nursing Accreditation Commission (NLNAC)* and the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE)**. Chamberlain College of Nursing is also accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC)*** of the North Central Association (NCA).

Becker Professional Review
