Christopher J. Caywood is President of Online Services at DeVry Inc.

DeVry (NYSE: DV, member S&P 500 Index) is a global provider of educational services and the parent organization of Advanced Academics, American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine, Becker Professional Education, Carrington College, Carrington College California, Chamberlain College of Nursing, DeVry Brasil, DeVry University, and Ross University Schools of Medicine and Veterinary Medicine. These institutions offer a wide array of programs in business, healthcare and technology. DeVry’s institutions serve students in secondary through postsecondary education and professionals in accounting and finance.
Caywood joined DeVry in 2011 as president of the DeVry online division, one of the largest online operations in the U.S., which supports all of DeVry’s institutions.
Prior to joining DeVry, Caywood served with Kaplan Higher Education where his last position was as President of Kaplan Legal Education. His tenure at Kaplan included roles overseeing law, legal studies, public policy, criminal justice, nursing, teacher education and higher education programs. In addition, his previous experience includes operating, finance and business development roles with increasing responsibility at Sears, Roebuck and Co., Baxter International, Inc., and Motorola, Inc. Caywood started his career as an attorney with Nixon Peabody LLP and McDermott, Will & Emery.
Caywood participates in civic and community organizations, serving in leadership, volunteer and fundraising capacities. He currently serves on his village’s zoning board of appeals and is a member of the Economic Club of Chicago.
Caywood holds bachelor’s, master’s and law degrees from the University of Michigan and an MBA from the University of Chicago.
